That seems very strange, the only QR planes I flew so far that did not have Wifi were A320 and A330 with rather old business class. If they really have 787 and 777 QSuite flying around without Wifi that would be rather shocking.
The Wifi in the older planes (i.e. 787-8) is quite expensive, I think they call it OnAir. Sometimes there is that 1hr free chat option, however that is not only time restricted but also data restricted to 8MB. That's gone really quickly. The newer planes, like the A350, have "Super Wifi", that one is really good and only 10$ for unlimited use.
