Boarding did not really start till just before flight time. Boarding is a free for all after they do the priority folks. Staff did not check nor weigh carry ons on our flight. After always flying United E+ seats, it always comes as a space shock when I take LCCs which have 28" pitch and I'm not a wide nor tall individual.
Once on this very full flight, the pilot said that SIN had a runway issues and that our departure slot was now pushed back. We ended up getting into VTE 1.5 hours late. From FlightAware, that made our flight the worst of the short flight history online, but the overall flight is NEVER on time.
Would I take them again? I would, but only if it was only carrier/cheaper.
It was a relief to take BKK-SIN on Singapore airlines 787-10 mainline.
I must say Scoot does the nickel-and-diming far too well which you have unfortunately realised. I'm inclined to believe the entire "no outside food" policy on TR is a result of my countrymen just being so stingy on paying for food onboard - one wouldn't have the same equivalent problem on Ryanair or Easyjet.
Your flight on the 14th was affected by
this, where one of the airforce's F16 had a bit of an issue and caused a runway to close. But yeah Scoot packs their flights a bit too tightly which means unless you're on the first flight out of SIN there's a likelihood you'll not arrive right on time with Scoot.
