I have an upcoming trip STL-LAX-SYD. AA schedule changed pushed a tight 51 min connection to even tighter 41 minute connection and this makes me extremely nervous. (I don’t understand how 41m can even be legal when check in and baggage check in require 45).

it’s an award ticket. Since this is technically legal and doesn’t amount to a change over 2 hours, AA won’t change my domestic flights. I can keep trying HUCA, but wanted to get others’ thoughts in this connection time and/or ways to get AA to change this.
