We had a couple other crab meals (at top tier Tokyo establishments) and it was clear that the quality of the crab at Bouyourou surpassed them all. Takefue was out of this world. We stayed at Kokyuuan and would've extended our stay had there been availability. Already plotting a return visit in the Spring!
The various rooms at Bouyourou are not all too different from one another, size wise (just layout), which is partly why the room rates are the same for all of them (last I checked, anyway.) The fact that you managed to get a reservation during Echizen-gani crab season is a triumph!
Kokyuan is an amazing suite - it's one of our two favorites there (along with Shienan.) However, all rooms are special, with a nod to Kokyuan, Shienan, Tenku and Sayo, which are the only rooms whose guests are able to use the Chikujo No Ma private bath.
