We are there again later this month on points, and we will see how things are. Thanks for the heads up.

Cheers.
There is a sign that we saw (wish I took a pic) that says City of La Jolla at all times on all streets no overnight parking without permit 2am-6am. Now it may not be enforced, but we weren't willing to chance it. There are absolutely no signs out front of the Hyatt La Jolla. Which is very frustrating. The sign we saw (I think) was down the block towards the I5 on the way to Whole Foods (on the opposite side of the road from the hotel). Can't be 100% sure of its location though... but without a doubt I saw a sign like this. However, it may be that the sign I saw was solely for RVs and not personal vehicles. https://www.sandiego.gov/sites/defau...sfactsheet.pdf (it looked very similar to this only the sign was white, i think)

Agree with you - we also parked out front as it's much more convenient than their garage. But not overnight as we didn't want to chance a ticket. I probably wasted $35 p/nt. Ugh
