This obsession of what's "past security" is completely irrelevant in Japan. You need to pass security about 20 mins before your flight in most airports and you can bring in any food or drinks you'd like from "pre-security". Doesn't matter what's "past security" at any airport in Japan. Get what you want landside and take it to the lounge or eat anywhere in the airport.
