Canada's never been much of a premium market which is why premium cabin fares have usually been cheaper vs. the U.S. (not always but generally). Kind of surprised the high-density a/c are not sent this way but then even the rear cabins won't be filled up.
AF used to run the Caribbean 747 to YUL twice a day. LH was operating their A340 leisure configs with no F and small J. Even AC's first HD 773 was designed to compete on the YUL-CDG route.
To my knowledge, the only company ruing an F product out of YUL is LX, and only because they don't have any non-F widebodies, I gather. Don't even know if KL/CX offer F out of YYZ.
Canada is not a premium-rich market. If it means occasional good deals in J...al the better for us I think.
But again.. no one if 'competing' for a non-existing market here.
