As for your spending suggestions, I do a decent chunk of that but there is opportunity cost too (like airline status and miles). AA miles are also extremely valuable. It's also not that much since I just don't spend that much money in a year. I think that unbonused spend is better off on the Hyatt CC because it's 1 pt and also every $5000 is 2 EQN. I value Hyatt pts at 2c so the extra 0.5pt is like an extra 1% back, so an extra $50 on $5000. I would definitely rather have 2 EQN than $50 or 2500 pts. I will generally be willing to pay $50 or 2500 pts for 1 EQN, and in fact I am in a few days; 4 nights at an off-peak cat 1 for 3500 pts with 1000 pt rebate due to the current promo (so 2500 net). And in fact I'll burn a tank of gas for the privilege of doing so. I'm going to try to make a vacation out of it but I dunno... we'll see. I'd probably rather be home.
What’s the additional value to you in extra EQN’s if you don’t use TSU’s?
They ran the Bilt promo earlier this year so everyone made Globalist with 20 nights. They also ran similar promos the past 3 years too.
Beyond 60 nights you’d get 10k points for the Milestones that’s about 1k per night or $15-$20 so net loss of $30-$35 if you’re spending or losing $50 to get that EQN.
