It took me over an hour to reach the hotel because of construction and blocked roads. I couldn't find any way to reach the bridge where you check into the hotel, and at the lowel level where I parked, the elevators are locked. A man let me in so I didn't have to walk all the way up with my luggage. When I asked about parking, the hotel stated I would have to pay for parking all three nights, including my award night. They later called and stated they would waive the one night, and invited me for a free drink. When I went to meet the staff member, she was busy somewhere else. I waited for 15 minutes and she never returned. No one ever followed up with the drink. I found the staff very unfriendly. There are no towel bars in the bathroom at all, and I never knew what to do with the towels. I was too hot sleeping in the room every night because the comforter was so warm. I found it surprising the hotel had no maps available of the old port. They need to have a better location of the hotel on the website. Also, the map they give you for the self parking has only about two of the streets named, and it is very difficult to use. If indeed you are supposed to be parked in a garage for self-parking, I never was. I was parked near the rental cars outside. No one ever checked my car in or gave me a pass. I would not go back to this hotel. I've never been so poorly treated as a WOH member. In contrast, when I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Eragon on 3 award nights, I was upgraded to the club floor, and then even given lounge privileges!
You were hoping for free parking all the days and free breakfast too. I think you went in expecting too much and were bound to be disappointed.
