A couple of weeks ago at the Renaissance in Montreal, I was given coupons for breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Basically as a Titanium, the breakfast was complimentary. They don't do buffets and there's no lounge so the coupon.

One of the mornings, as I handed them the coupon in the restaurant I asked only for coffee and a croissant.

When I checked out, I had a charge on my invoice for the coffee and croissant individually. The explanation : the coupon is for a full breakfast. But since I only wanted a croissant, they would have to charge for it!
