Well, if changing the booking is going to reset the room to whatever you booked in the first place, and you were already ok with that room since you booked it, IMHO you really have nothing to lose. You would just get that room type again and, if I understand correctly, at 15% cheaper.

Or, was the room upgraded to the Presidential Suite, and you now don't want to give it up?
