Throughout the entire booking process I'm unable to find anything that looks like a fare code.
Ok so its a bit trickier to find now but still possible
you have two ways one simple but not 100% reliable and one more complicated
....
- easy = go to ITA matrix and if you select a class economy or business it will give you an idea about which class you might get by booking cheapest fare in each class
- long = go to SV website and do as below
....
- Simulate a booking with SV
- at last page , payment section click on = fare rules and regulations
- in the popup look for fare rules of carriage (number 4) and click on more details
- a new tab will open called fare details
- check for penalties or change subsection
- watch out for "Base fare for qarxnlb4 type fares" andtake the 1st letter of the fare class , in this example its Q
- Go to your skyteam FFP page about saudia and check if it is listed or not and how much percent of miles you will get based on distance
I believe its easier in the app , but since they changed visual identity and website i am not sure if app is the same as in 2022
beware that if you do a multicity or if you select two types of fares (onwards in basic and return in guest for instance) then you will have to look at two separate change/penalties sub sections , one for each fare type
