the closest hotel is the T2/T3 Hilton, it also is usually more expensive that the numerous hotels on the bath road.
those hotels are all easily reachable on the many buses that run from/to the central bus station, £1.75 each way per passenger. the moxy/hilton doubltree are probably the furthest away, at about 10 minutes travel time. Those hotels are worth considering
