Are PN and PZ released in different quantities? Currently on a two person PNR and afraid PZ will be released one by one leading to single flyers skipping us in the list. PN is always released first and PN>PZ.
As for the quantity of PZ, UA will release as little as they think is necessarily based on their projections of unsold space. I have seen everything from PZ0 to PZ9.
PZ0 is most common, PZ1 the next, and the other less frequently.
As for splitting, that can help but you risks only one getting upgrade. If you can live with that, it is a reasonable thing to do,
