There's something strange going on with London services at the moment. In summer it's three daily to LHR but in winter, A3 only had slots for two services and three on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays and on the other days the morning outbound and lunch time return operated to LGW in the same time slot as LHR.

They now seem to have acquired a slot on Tuesdays-Fridays at LHR with an arrival about 09.55 and departure around 11.10, it varies by a few minutes on some of the days but the really strange thing is that they aren't using it on some of the days and instead operating to LGW but you can't tell what's happening from booking. The new LHR-ATH particularly is a welcome change with an arrival in ATH at about 16.30 which for a first arrival is slightly better than the usual 17.50. On the return a departure at 07.45 rather than 09.15 doesn't make much difference to me but an arrival at 09.55 is more useful than 11.15.

Does anyone know what's happening?
