I have come across this annoying issue frequently this year. All this started when peak pricing went into effect. It's become a pain in the a** trying to search for award availability, especially at popular destinations. The lack of award rooms is not a system error, it's real since I also search by single nights and string of nights. I don't need to know that award starts from 12,000 points only to find out no award rooms are available.

I'm also finding some hotels are playing games by only offering Club rooms for awards and not standard rooms, but the Club rooms are the exact same room just with Club access. Example is Grand Hyatt Kauai. World of Hyatt has decidedly gone downhill in the past year with awards.
