At the end of the day, if your flight number remains the same as booked, only two things matter:

1. When did you reach your destination in relation to original plan

2. What was the reason you couldn't do it in the original timeslot.

Whether there was a diversion, a return after departure, a return to gate before departure, or a grounded aircraft before boarding, makes no difference.
