So, I purchased a separate AS ticket from BOI to SEA requiring bag and recheck. This is the weak point of the SEATAC experience. They don't have any way to check bags until the counter opens 3.5 hrs before departure; in my case standing in the F lane for over an hour they started checking in C and Y 5 minutes later and finally a grumpy employee (contracter based on the shirt logo) started up a few minutes later. He was gruff and somewhat unpleasant which really doesn't matter so much except when he printed and handed me the boarding passes he told to me to go TSA PRE in Zone 4 which is a goodhike from the Zone 1 around the corner (and still open for another 30 minutes). Also I noticed the new boarding passes did NOT have Fast Track for LHR security (which my home printed ones had and the UPC code looked different when compared..hmmm). An additional note is the kiosks for OW adjacent to the BA checkin desk did not work; I tried 3 with one inop, one failed with passport and the other failed with Record Locator (they did display a screen for over 5 minutes pitching an upgrade which is kinda silly when you purchase F). I had the opportunity to walk around before cueing and found some very happy smiling people around the Sky Team area who had printed boarding passes AND bag tags from the same exact kiosk; I asked and they confirmed. Another issue I have is with lounge direction from the staff; S gate BA lounge...with 3.5 hrs before the flight there is plenty of time to visit the AS N lounge, but that is something we tend to run into with many airlines. I'm here in the AS N at this time having a decent martini followed by a glass of oregon pinot while watching the mountains turn from sunset to dusk.
Comparing this with my SFO experience last November on a similar journey I have to say BA staff operations in SEA is lacking and could use a bit of an improvement.
Looking forward to flight except for the menu which included a bit too much spinach for my taste, but that is already posted in another thread...
Happy Thanksgiving All!
Cheers,

I am sitting in the SEA BA lounge tonight, for the same flight, enjoying some tasty food and beverages, following a very polite and efficient check-in and TSA Pre-check in Zone 1 (where we were the only passengers, so six TSA agents whisked us through in less than a minute).
