I have some Design within Reach sateen sheets that I love. Always wondered if you have to treat these “Frette level linens” any differently when you wash and dry them?
Frette works best for me... I absolutely love the quality. Had some for more than 10 years now and they are still in pristine condition, despite being changed/washed twice weekly (on rotation). Our helpers are none too pleased though as ironing these takes ages. Best to wash them on low temperature with mild detergent and
no tumble dryer! That really kills these fabrics. Rather steam/iron on high temperature.
Rivolta Carmignani used to be on Frette's level for years, however their hotel collection is hard to come by these days and their so called "home" line has terrible quality. Next time I am in Milano I will swing by their store and see if I can obtain any of the hotel collection items, since these are made to last... the home collection is decidedly not.
I think there used to be a thread here many moons ago about hotel beds and linens...
