Some may recognize me from r/fatFIRE, but for for those who don't, I'm an avid world traveler. I recently learned about Marriott Cobalt status, and it got me thinking - can GMs put in a recommendation for a guest to receive it?

If I was theoretically able to make a handshake deal with a GM for $100k, think I would have a shot? I've never done this with Marriott, but have frequently secured employee benefits from dozens of brands with a similar approach.
