who on earth does that?
I do that. I had 2-3 of the things at home, but I was totally not prepared for my holiday, despite 8 months of notice and forgot to bring them... If it had been $5, I would have kept it. I knew there were cheaper places, but I wasn't going to spend 8 hours looking around for an adaptor for 99c.

I will tell you something else, when I was about 16/17/18, I really wanted a specific game. Woolworths had it in stock and it was £30. I looked on Amazon, it was £15, but it would be a week before I would get it. I was desperate to play this game, so I figured I would buy it from Woolworths AND Amazon. I played my game from Woolworths, and once I got my Amazon copy of game, I went to Woolworths with my Amazon copy and asked for a refund, which I got.

Exactly!😄

[QUOTE=aztimm;35757851]I don't visit the BA forum too often, but I was browsing today and saw your trip report. Thanks for putting it together! Very interesting to hear what others do when they go there, especially someone from outside of the US.

Thank you for your support. I'm glad you found it interesting. 🙂

For personal trips to Vegas, we do usually hit a Walmart or similar after arriving to stock up on things that are outrageous on The Strip.
If you go to CVS/Walgreens, it's fairly reasonable. But hotel shops are a rip off. With that said, I went to buy a drink and a snack at Flamingo 2 separate times, at 2 separate shops of theirs, and whilst not cheap, it wasn't a complete rip off.

I've only gone to downtown Vegas once; there used to be an evening light show on Fremont Street, and went in a few casinos. I've always stayed on The Strip or nearby.

For travel adapter, I keep one of those that will work pretty much anywhere in my backpack. I think it was maybe $10-15 from Amazon. If nothing else, it has a bunch of USB slots on it, so I could always use it just to charge.
There is still a "light show" at Fremont - every hour from 6pm-12am.

I just forgot to pack my adaptors. Despite having 8 months to prepare, I wasn't prepared... 🤦‍♂️
