I'm flying YUL-FRA-EDI tonight, AC on first segment and LH on second. Am *Gold through AC status. Flight is booked as AC Latitude Economy (highest Y fare brand) which seems to have booked the FRA-EDI segment in as B on LH.

Can I check whether I understand correctly that LH will restrict me to one carryon with a max weight of 8kg? If that's the rule are they likely to check the max weight at the gate, and if so would they just gate check it? Have not checked a bag in ages and hoping to avoid doing so.
