I could say the same for many airlines, and anecdotally I would say most, I dont really know any full service carriers that did not do the same things, but maybe there are some.
Most major airlines I dealt with during COVID were difficult to deal with and often not honest; e.g. handing out vouchers when they should return cash.
I am a PPS Solitaire and I am aware that I get better service but the question you raised was: were they ever generous. And the answer is: yes.
