I'm at this hotel for the first time. It's just a Hyatt place so keep your expectations in check, but it's nice and clean and things seem pretty new. It's a reasonable choice for an affordable stay in Mahanttan, and I think that the location is pretty good with lots of bars and good restaurants close by. I still prefer the Chinatown / SoHo / Little Italy area, but it's nice to try out different neighborhoods and 50 Bowery was about double the price IIRC. I definitely prefer this location to anything in FiDi (as much as I liked Gild Hall, the location sucks).

I assume it's a standard HP breakfast, which I happily slept through today. The food is a big part of my NY trips, so I'm not interested in the HP breakfast when there's so much good food around (and I'm particularly not interested in it before 9am)

I turned down an upgrade to be able to check in very early after my redeye. I ended up in a very small room on a very high floor (which I'm fine with) I'm not one who really cares about views but the view here is nice, for sure.
