That's on an ESTA with an Irish passport
So I'm puzzled as to why yours was ?
I don’t think there has to be a reason for your passport being stamped.
I have Global Entry but on my last 3 visits mine has been stamped. Not on the previous 3 though.
They also like taking my fingerprints. At least GE gets me near the front of a short queue.
