$187.20 on AA IAH-CLE x 2 = AA GOLD

Using the multi-flight option on AA, I was able to book the QR7XWTNNR fare basis for $187.20 from IAH to CLE via DFW and ORD , but return is to HOU Hobby. This is good for (500+802+500) x 2 = 3604 miles and ...you guessed it... 3000 points toward the 5000 point AA Gold Challenge (as Q is 0.5 point, but luckily, min. 500 points per segment also.) Will also get 1000 bonus aa.com booking miles (not points for challenge, though). (Hint: Put the 3-leg segment in the multicity, and just the whole through return for leg 4...it figures out how to give you a 5 or 6 leg r.t. itinerary.) Ticket by 1/10/05 on this fare basis per fare rules.

I had another reverse trip with only one stop for $185.20 between IAH - CLE also in QR7XWTNNR...fee diff. DFW-CLE gives you a few more miles (1021) than ORD-IAH leg (972), and thus with DFW, you get 3042 miles + 1000 aa.com booking miles, and 2020 points .

Thus 3000 + 2042 can put you over the 5000 top into AA GOLD in just 2 round trips, at a rock-bottom price of approximately $375 (+ parking + gas + snacks).

There is also an N7EPQNR fare basis with is $15 higher one way and is combinable, but still only 0.5 point. Current Netsaver fares of $178+fees IAHMIA (also connect; DFWMIA 1121 miles o/w; shown in 2 fare sales on aa.com) and $198+fees IAHORD (can conex DFW; 56 miles under, or go via LGA = over) may help if your aim is miles or GOLD at low $$$.

ALSO: Channa (see first post) also notes a $138 unrestricted SFO-JAX fare (and lots of miles), which is now posted on the "Mileage Run" forum.
