I think both lounges have their advantages. For us advantage 1 was that the arriving Oslo flight was near the AM lounge next to the massive teddy bear. During our 9 hr layover the AM lounge was not that busy. Food was OK but a bit slow and our orders were mixed up. Overall nice lounge. We didn’t spend much time sitting downstairs though as the lounge manager proudly advised us of the new AM lounge by the garden near the C gates.

That lounge is also humongous and features showers and quiet rooms as well as a bar on the left. And a massive seating area and another bar and buffet with a la carte on the right. So is it worth to go to the new lounge by the gardens? In my opinion yes! There will be a new opening for a gym/spa and the quiet rooms are a godsend. We spent an hour or so there and relaxed. Something the “old” lounge doesn’t seem to offer.

The service is great and as in the other lounge plenty of staff there to help with any questions. It got a bit busy around 0:45am and the lounge filled up quickly but thanks to the immense size it’s still worth a visit. Feels more airy than the other lounge.

So yes the new lounge is totally worth a visit. Unfortunately due to maintenance Al Safwa was closed during my stay so can’t say much about that.
