2900 MQD plus the 2500 MQD from having the Delta Platinum Amex would requalify you for Silver for 2025 (you don't have a choice about which year) without having to fly in 2024.

The very best part of a grand for 2 years of Silver is probably a little steep, but not so steep that you need that much more justification for a mileage run, IMO.
