Not actually the case… BA is significantly cheaper for cancellations.

QR hides a sneaky nasty charge called “redemption fee” in the taxes and charges which it then says is non refundable. This is not made apparent at any stage in the booking process and the only way you will ever notice is if you expand the taxes and see it. Very dodgy in my opinion. The redemption fee is usually the same as the YQ so the BA taxes and charges are the same.

They charge you the 25USD and you lose the “redemption fee” that you never knew about.
