ARN - ATH

Sadly, like day-and-night compared to ARN-KLX last week. Cabin was half full (6 of 12 seats), so of course I was not going to get the same attention I got as alone in the cabin last week. But it was far from crowded.

There were no menus, no pre-dinner drink and service was not careful nor engaged. To my eye staff looked very young, maybe there lies an explanation.

Food was good, except the bread that was overheated and had begun turning into crust.

I don't know what was served, because the only words uttered by purser was "chicken or beef". Literally.
This is the chicken. and it might have been Halloumi in the stew. Potato mash was hidden under the stew.
Both main and salad was good, but I like to know a little more about what I'm served than "chicken"

Stew spillage over the edge is a pet peeve for me - makes it look like economy service.



Dessert, again not knowing what it was, but it was fine.

Example of service lacking in detail, the dessert (as well as the main meal tray) was served turned 180°, with backside front. Without the plastic and after rotating (2.nd pic) the presentation is much nicer with a strawberry suddenly visible.


The two images are approx. 20 minutes apart. I asked for coffee and she replied "i'll be right back" and that meant 20 minutes later. I think the crew had decided to not serve coffee with the dessert, but to do a separate coffee run after everything was cleared.
