As you were. I know what you get in CE - I fly it weekly. I'm making a point most people likely book it think it's different. I don't think 'tier points' are a valid reason for CE and who really needs 'status'. Such a sad small world we live in where 'status' is the focus of travel.
If you fly in CE weekly then you don't need status as all of the perks come with the ticket. However, if you only fly CE a few times a year but do it strategically (such as with the double TP holidays) then that can get you status from 2-3 flights which then make other Economy travel much more pleasant.
