The only reason for booking Club Europe on most European routes is to collect TPs towards requalifying for status. Once I requalify, I will switch to the cheap seats unless on a SH+ route.
Flights are very full these days. I value the guaranteed blocked middle seats in club europe these days, as even as a Gold I often don’t get the seat next to me blocked in short haul Y - it is sold out.
