Maybe related, maybe not, ORD had a complete meltdown at CLEAR yesterday. Eyes didn't work on any machine for anyone, fingers barely worked on some.
I got the same email. My issue hasn't been the technology, it's been the staffing, particularly at EWR, where there are plenty of machines, but all the staff are over at TSA escorting previous customers. Maybe this upgrade will allow a straight-to-a-dedicated screening machine, where you don't have to cut in front of a TSA/non-Clear customer waiting for the ID check.
