Per the terms (Very bottom of this page; I copied them below), you don't get silver status directly but 10,000 status miles so that you will be awarded silver status in 2024. So this **should** mean that if you expect to be within 10k status miles by the end of the year, getting this GoWild pass during the silver promotion will put you into the next tier and could be the part that convinces you to buy this.

I'm assuming these are just status miles and not also the miles you can redeem for flights, but could be wrong. This is also likely a one-time setup because silver status doesn't exist yet and this reduces the manual processing needed in 2024.

"Silver Status with GoWild! Annual Pass Purchase All new and renewed GoWild! Annual Pass purchases at flyfrontier.com from November 14, 2023 to November 28, 2023 by 11:59PM MT will be awarded Elite Silver Status beginning in early 2024. Member's Frontier Miles account will earn 10,000 qualifying miles within 7-10 business days following the purchase of the GoWild! Annual Pass purc hase. Miles for eligible pass purchases will be allocated to the Frontier Miles account associated with the pass, regardless of the pass purchaser."
Smart thinking 99 - I am at 11500 status miles and was umming and ahhing about whether to spend $250 on transcons by the end of the year to lock in the free carry-on with Gold for next year. Spending $499 for a Go Wild pass may be a much better proposition. A status match to Platinum will cost me $199. It would be a lay down misere if Frontier hadn't gutted its services from LAS - will need to do some serious calculations.

Edit

Well perhaps not -looking at LAS-PHX on monday 11/20
Standard Fare $72
Discount Den $47
Go Wild Pass $79
