I'm with you. I enjoy the lounge here, with its varied seating options and quiet, low-key feel. I think it mostly depends on whether your focus is free food. In SF, I'm really not that interested, there are so many great restaurants. And I despise the lounge breakfasts at both Embarcadero and GH. I'm also kind of indifferent to the lounge view, perhaps because I lived in the bay area for so many years and still have an office with a bay/city view.
This property is my go-to as well. I won't even consider GH these days, and HR Embarcadero only if Downtown is not available and then only on points or under $200/night.
