Exactly ZERO carry-on enforcement on AC 160 from YEG-YYZ today...was actually amazed by the size of some of the bags people were trying to stow in the bins of the A320...I wouldn't go all the way to saying 'streamer trunk' but some were close!

Maybe they need to move the sizer to the door of the plane and have an agent there to process the bag tags and the checked baggage fee.

Right now there is no incentive for any PAX that has to pay to check a bag to not try and sneak an oversize carry-on through...as long as they can get it past security they can play the 'carry-on lotto' or worst case it gets checked for free at the gate and delays the whole process for everyone else.

As I've said before, nothing irks me more than the pilot coming on and saying 'we're all ready to go up here, the ground staff just need to load the last of the bags'...well the 'last of the bags' was that pile I passed in the jetway that should have never been there in the first place.
