First time Plat over here! So I booked ATL-LIH through LAX for 2 people and applied RUCs. I specifically picked days that had "First available with Upgrade Certificate" showing for both legs on the outbound (and decided I was willing to roll the dice for the return leg). But only the ATL-LAX leg cleared on booking - we got put on the waitlist for the LAX-LIH leg. This is even though it actually still has the message "First available with Upgrade Certificate" on that leg if you search it online. Calling CS and they indicated that even though I searched for 2, there is only 1 seat available in the upgrade fare class, and so we are waitlisted. They did offer to split the reservation but then indicated we'd lose C+ on the seat that didn't get the upgrade. Is this right?
