Husband's Amex Plat:

Aug 2023 - two gc purchases for $125 and $75
Nov 2023 - messaged customer service rep about credit for aforementioned fees and this time said it was coded as freight charge which doesn't qualify

Is this new or have I just been incredibly lucky these past few years, including earlier this year on my two Amex Plat cards that this loophole still works?
