Hi, this may have been answered in the JAL master thread but I couldn't find it with searches; I'm looking at buying DFW-NRT/HND-SIN economy seats next September then doing C class upgrades with miles; in searching Expert Flyer I see plenty of availability but when I start looking at the actual ticket options on AA it doesn't seem to show anything. I tried another route of using miles to book economy but AA site shows no options and tells me "something went wrong" they couldn't find a match. Is there something functionally I'm doing wrong when digging for these flights, or is JAL holding out on me when going through AA?
Are you searching C (upgrade space), as there is C revenue space, which while the same fare bucket is not the same as confirmed UG space, and must be done segment by segment? Not fully sure what searching AA would do for finding C space, unless you're an EXP and have access to SWUs which then shows flights eligible for upgrade. I had no issue searching for DFW-SIN with stops in TYO up until 9/12, and then multi-stops still showed availability, so might be some AA bug for now.
