Recently traveled BNA-SEA-LAX and back. Of the 4 meals, 3 were lunch/dinner and all 3 had packaged desserts. I actually don't mind the Bell's cookies but was surprised that none of the meals had a dessert that wouldn't be at home in the snack basket.

Also interesting to me was the fact that the SEA-LAX legs were apparently not catered with a snack basket. When I asked for a sleeve of the Michel et Augustin dark chocolate cookie squares the FA was apologetic and explained that snack baskets weren't catered on the route. Is this normal for shorter routes that are just over the threshold for meal service?
