If OP does this, suite has to be available for the entire 9 nights and 2 SUAs need to be used. OP says MHC told them there is no suite availability for the last part of the stay, so if they rebook, they’ll lose their suite for the first part. I’d leave things as they are and expect a room change for the last portion.
My understanding was that there was no suite availability for a 2 night stay that was the last 2 nights of his stay. But it was available for a 5 night stay that started on those 2 nights.
So the suite is available, but there are restrictions that prevent it from being booked, most likely minimum length of stay. Merging everything into a 9 night stay would fix that.
Of course to be sure it's probably a good idea to search for suite availability over the entire 9 nights (as a single stay) first.
