Then why did OP book as 2 stays? Just book a single 9 night stay and apply the SUA to the whole thing.

I'll bet that a concierge or a good agent could make this change without having to cancel and rebook. Remove the SUA, merge the stays, apply 2 SUAs, and it's done.

If OP does this, suite has to be available for the entire 9 nights and 2 SUAs need to be used. OP says MHC told them there is no suite availability for the last part of the stay, so if they rebook, they’ll lose their suite for the first part. I’d leave things as they are and expect a room change for the last portion.
