It sure would be nice if I could speak or electronically contact someone at DB to clarify this but they have not responded to the e-mail I sent 3 days ago. I'd actually like to take a later train. But I would book seats on the later train because it has a higher demand and I don't want to buy seats and find out that I can't take the later train. This is all doing my head in. Arghhh Guess I have to wait until I get to Dresden (my first stop in Germany) to actually speak to someone to sort this all out.
