Chase card, and Infact 99.9% of US cards, are not ‘chip & pin’ enabled. The pin they give you will only work at ATM for cash advance which btw won’t count toward min spent for your card. You won’t be able to use pin to authorize transaction.
Chase cards and other credit cards issued by US banks are compatible chip and PIN, just that most banks don't proactively send you the cash advanced PIN and you have to request it.
