That being said, my wife will be 6 months pregnant on the outbound and 7 months on the return, so I would like her to be comfortable (at least to the extent possible). I have one world sapphire, so can get the MCE for free on an economy ticket. I am between getting 3 of these seats for us, or 2 premium economy. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Happy to hear advice!
Thanks,

LHR ORD on AA metal is usually a 789 which in PE has great advantages that will make the journey easier on your pregnant wife. For instance, there are 2 PE lavatories at the very front of the cabin so unlike the 772, your wife wouldn't have to go to regular Y section to use their lavatories walking past very narrow aisles since AA has a very dense 3x4x3 configuration in regular Y. The PE seats themselves have better padding and the front/bulkhead seats even have leg rests which your wife would appreciate. PE also gets upgraded meals served in real china and a more comfortable Casper pillow and soft blanket set.
The bulkhead row in PE can be fitted with a bassinet for infants under 24 months, not sure why other flyers don't like this idea since my cousin has done it several times with her one-year old without any struggle.
