Anyway, mention of Starlux aside, my point stands. A devaluation was inevitable, and plenty of value in the new award charts is there to be found, especially compared to what you can get elsewhere.
I agree. The glaring issue is that except for a few non-alliance awards, the exact same space can be booked on AA for fewer miles and no partner booking fee.
But I agree that this is in line with industry standards. After this I would value AS miles at about the same value as UA miles (maybe worth a bit more) and way more then DL.
