AA Basic Economy (B) and Alaska Savor (X) credit to JAL

Hey guys, I just have a quick question regarding mileage credit to AA and Alaska Air in Basic Economy/Savor tickets to Japan Airline Mileage Bank.

As this is the first time I made it into JGC Sapphire tier, I want to utilize my OWS benefit on AA and Alaska Airline.

For American Airline

I can see is that I cannot earn any miles nor FOPs on AA Basic Economy fare (B)

But I can select Main Cabin Extra and all other OneWorld Sapphire benefits on a Basic Economy ticket.

In this case, can I put my JGC number in to get those benefit, but swap to other FFN at gate right before boarding to take some mileage credits?

For Alaska Airline

I can see is that I can still earn 30% of flown miles and FOPs on Alaska Savor fare (X)

But I cannot select their OneWorld preferred seats but probably still other OneWorld Sapphire benefits such as priority bag handling/checked bag/priority checkin, etc on a Savor ticket. (Does anyone here have experience on this? Thanks!)

In a lot of scenario, I would prefer buying Basic Economy or Savor fare because the upcharge for a non-BE or non-Savor would cost almost 100 per person one-way and I don't think it's worth it for domestic flight so I want to check with everyone else to see what I can do to beat the restriction of Basic Economy.

Thanks in advanced!
