If American can make it to China from Dallas and Delta can pull it off from Detroit, United could certainly swing Chicago.

LAX is a special beast because it is a Mecca for Chinese airlines and the US3 used to want a piece of that action as well (e.g. prior to covid, they all flew LAX-PVG).
