Seems par for the course with anything in China but my feeling it's worse when Accor doesn't want to be transparent with upcoming and immediate changes.

I've been to a number of smaller cities where there is only one or two huazhu listed hotels under accor brands, and none were bookable through ALL app. However, Accor recently created another booking platform through WeChat, but you can't use your normal ALL number in it. It's a completely parallel and separate platform for Chinese members attached to phone numbers. I've found that some of those properties were bookable from there, but in talking to one property, they said they wouldn't honor ALL benefits if it wasn't directly coming from the WeChat app.

I've had two properties not honor free weekend diamond breakfast in the last month in the Middle East and another two properties (an Angsana and Banyan Tree) in China not honor free breakfast at all (all booked through the Accor app with ALL membership benefits showing).

At least with WeWork China when I did use it a number of years ago, I could use my global membership and it was never questioned.
