Yes, you'll probably be assigned to Skylight Hotel which is just across the street from the airport in Bole. You can walk around Bole on your own fairly safely and without issues - just keep your eye out for pickpockets and phone snatchers - be particularly wary of gangs of street kids who excel at this and swarm foreigners.
BTW, finished OLCL, next to my FFP (A3*G) it shows "SZGL". Wonder if it means anything (at least not SSSS

Also, unlike other OLCI I have done many times before with other airlines, ET OLCI doesn't let me print my BP, and it direct me to check in agent to pick up my BP... humm.
Probably a destination visa check requirement.
